Two common pitfalls, read these first

Do this in a browser on a computer, not the phone app. Perplexity does not describe this path there.
Use "Add MCP connector", not the connector search. Our connector is added by its address, the search will not find it.

Open perplexity.ai in a browser on a computer or in the Perplexity desktop app and sign in. Custom connectors come with Perplexity Pro, Max and Enterprise.
Open "Plugins" in the sidebar (if you do not see it: "Customize", then "Connectors"). Choose "Add custom", then "Add MCP connector" and "Remote".
Enter Fair Value Calculator as the name. Paste this as the "MCP server URL": https://www.fairvalue-calculator.com/mcp
Under "Advanced", choose "OAuth" as authentication and "Streamable HTTP" as transport. Leave Client ID and Client Secret empty, our server registers the connector automatically. Tick the confirmation box and click "Add".
On the "Plugins" page, click the new Fair Value Calculator card to start the sign-in. In the new window, sign in with your Fair Value Calculator account (or create a free one with your email address) and click "Connect".
Ask a new question and name the connector: "Evaluate Apple with the Fair Value Calculator". If Perplexity does not use it, pick it with @.

Good to know

Enterprise: the admin has to switch on "Allow members to add custom connectors", it is off by default.
If the connector is still not used after @, check that the sources are not set to "Web" only.

What do I enter for "Client ID" and "Client Secret"?

Nothing. Both fields stay empty, our server registers Perplexity automatically when you connect.

Does it work on my phone?

Set it up in a browser or the Perplexity desktop app. Perplexity does not promise that a custom connector then also shows up in the phone app (its help says it may be missing there); it is most reliable on a computer.

What does Perplexity see of my account?

Only the results needed for your question, for example the fair value, verdict and quality of a stock, no raw data and no complete database. Your watchlist only if you allow it when connecting, and without share counts, entry prices and notes. Perplexity can change it only on your explicit request.

Does Perplexity calculate the fair value itself?

No. The fair value, range, verdict and quality score come from Fair Value Calculator's own calculation; Perplexity fetches them from us and explains them. Each answer links to the full analysis on our site.

How do I disconnect again?

Any time in your Fair Value Calculator account under "Connected AI assistants" (fairvalue-calculator.com/account/ai-connections), access ends right away. You can also remove the entry in Perplexity.
