Below we inform you pursuant to Art. 13/14 GDPR about the processing of personal data when using fairvalue-calculator.com.

2. Server log files & hosting (Cloudflare)

When the site is accessed, data is automatically recorded in server log files (IP address, time, page requested, browser type). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure, stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We use Cloudflare, Inc. for delivery and protection. Log files are deleted or anonymised promptly.

3. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies only (e.g. for login). No consent-based analytics or tracking is currently used.

4. Sign-in (magic link)

For your account and sign-in we process your e-mail address; sign-in is passwordless via a one-time link. Legal basis: performance of a contract / pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

5. Payments (Stripe)

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland); we do not receive full card details. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Transfers to the USA are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. E-mail delivery (Brevo)

Service e-mails (e.g. sign-in links) are sent via Brevo (EU) under a data processing agreement.

7. Market data & AI chatbot (xAI)

To provide the service we process third-party price and fundamental data; all rights remain with the respective providers. This generally does not involve personal data of users.

Optional AI chatbot: when you use the AI assistant, your typed question is sent to xAI (Grok, USA) for processing under xAI’s terms. Please do not enter personal data into the chat.

8. Connected AI assistants (OAuth)

You can optionally connect Fair Value Calculator to AI assistants (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude). The connection uses OAuth 2.1: you sign in with your existing FVC account and confirm individual permissions (scopes). Legal basis: performance of contract or your consent (Art. 6(1)(b)/(a) GDPR).

We process: your FVC user id, the client id of the respective assistant, the granted scopes, and short-lived access/refresh tokens stored only in hashed form. For operation and abuse protection we log minimal, pseudonymised metadata per call (time, tool, scope, plan, allow/deny, HTTP status, truncated IP, hashed user/request id).

We do not store: plaintext tokens, OAuth codes, your questions/prompts, stock lists, portfolios, response content or full IP addresses. Only the derived FVC results needed for the specific request are sent to the AI assistant, no raw prices, fundamentals or model weights.

Revocation and retention: you can revoke any connection at any time in your account under "Connected AI assistants"; access is then immediately blocked server-side. Expired tokens/codes are deleted continuously, audit metadata after 90 days at the latest.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and to withdraw consent. Contact: [email protected].

9. Right to lodge a complaint

You may lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority: Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna(www.dsb.gv.at).

10. Retention & automated decisions

We retain data only as long as necessary or legally required. No automated decision-making with legal effect (Art. 22 GDPR) takes place; the valuations are general, non-personalised information.
