The company operates through four segments: Property Investment and Development, Homebuilding, Land Promotion, and Construction. It is involved in housebuilding and related activities; land assembly, management, and development, as well as strategic promotion and project delivery; trading; and plant hire activities. The company also engages in motor vehicle leasing; employee benefit trust; and PFI road maintenance. It serves industrial and logistics, residential, and urban development markets. The company was formerly known as Henry Boot & Sons PLC and changed its name to Henry Boot PLC in June 1999. Henry Boot PLC was founded in 1886 and is headquartered in Sheffield, the United Kingdom.
