About the company
Sylvania Platinum Limited, together with its subsidiaries, operates as a producer of platinum group metals including platinum, palladium, and rhodium, and chrome in South Africa. The company operates through two core business units, including platinum group metals production from tailings retreatment operations; and near surface platinum group metals exploration. Its PGM production comes from the Sylvania Resources dump operations including the retreatment of chrome tailings and the Chrome Tailings Retreatment Plant. Further, its near-surface mining exploration and development interests comprise the Everest North project, the Volspruit project, as well as the exploration of the Northern Platreef projects Aurora and Hacra. The company produces PGMs, including platinum, palladium, and rhodium; and explores for ruthenium, iridium, nickel, and copper deposits. Sylvania Platinum Limited was founded in 2007 and is based in Hamilton, Bermuda.
