It operates through Research and Development Activities for the Development of Innovative Drugs; and Contract Research Organization (CRO) Activities segments. The company develops CER-001, a recombinant HDL mimetic biopharmaceutical in a Phase III trial for the treatment of lecithin cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) deficiency, as well as in a Phase II trial for the treatment of sepsis. It is also developing ABNX-100, a strategic extension into ophthalmology of CER-001 that is in preclinical trial for the treatment of uveitis. The company was formerly known as Cerenis Therapeutics Holding SA and changed its name to ABIONYX Pharma SA in August 2019. ABIONYX Pharma SA was incorporated in 2005 and is headquartered in Balma, France.
