How to read this chart
60‑month range kr 188.69 – kr 304.04 · fair‑value band kr 190.24 – kr 379.41 · the kr 280.20 price screens above the kr 250.02 fair value. Green steps = our fair value per fiscal year (point-in-time, no hindsight). Dashed = 300-day average. As of Aug 27, 2026.
Analysis
Essity AB (ESSITY-B) currently trades at kr 280.20, while our model-based Fair Value estimate is kr 250.02, implying the stock looks roughly 10.8% overvalued today. The Quality Score stands at 64/100 (solid quality), in the Consumer Defensive sector. Bear case: priced above our estimate, the market already discounts strong expectations. Bull case: above-average quality can justify a premium, the entry price still matters most (evidence: high).
Over the trailing twelve months, Essity AB generated revenue of 137B SEK at a net margin of 9.1%. Revenue declined 5.1% year over year. It earns a return on equity of 14.9%. Net debt stands at 30.1B SEK. Fundamentals as of Aug 27, 2026
Our scenario range runs from kr 190.24 (bear case) to kr 379.41 (bull case); at kr 280.20, the current price sits within that range. Bear and bull are the same models run on conservative and optimistic assumptions (margins, growth, valuation multiples), so a plausible valuation range, not a price target. The share trades about 1% below its 52-week high and 23% above its 52-week low, currently above its 200-day average. For context, the median of 10 Consumer Defensive peers we cover trades at -36% fair-value upside, at -11%, ESSITY-B screens cheaper than that median.
Fair Value models
This estimate rests on fiscal year 2025 figures, and about 8 months have passed since. In that time the company retained roughly 6.28 SEK per share, which is 2.5 % of the fair value. The fair value deliberately does not add this in: the models value reported figures, not a projection.
Each model estimates fair value its own way; the Fair Value above is the evidence-weighted blend. Evidence (0–100) measures how completely this model’s inputs are available: well-fed models carry more weight in the blend. The spread across models is intentional, each one stresses a different value driver; dividend models, for instance, come out structurally low when payout is small.
All 22 models by family
Widest divergence: Multiples (kr 312.28) versus Asset-Based (kr 83.27). Highest evidence: FCF DCF (75).

Quality Score breakdown
Of which business quality 61 · Market factors (momentum, volatility) 68
Non-valuation factor families (profitability, growth, cashflow, financial strength, momentum …), each academically grounded. Valuation itself sits in the Fair Value and is deliberately excluded here to avoid double-counting.
All values are scores from 0 to 100 (100 = best against fixed, research-based bands), not percentages. The three market factors (momentum, 52-week proximity, low volatility) are displayed but carry zero weight in the headline number: market sentiment is not a business property.

How we calculate Fair Value
Each company is valued through a stack of independent intrinsic-value models (DCF variants, residual-income, multiples and more), blended into one family-balanced consensus and weighted by how much trustworthy data backs it. A separate quality layer scores the fundamentals. Every input is real reported data, nothing guessed.
