The company is involved in attracting deposits from the general public and applying those funds to the origination of loans for residential and consumer purposes. Its loan portfolio comprises one-to four-family, multi-family, and construction residential real estate loans; nonresidential real estate loans comprising of commercial office buildings, churches and properties used for other purposes; and consumer loans, including home equity lines of credit, loans secured by savings deposits, automobile loans, and unsecured loans, as well as commercial non-mortgage loans. Kentucky First Federal Bancorp was incorporated in 2005 and is based in Hazard, Kentucky. Kentucky First Federal Bancorp operates as a subsidiary of First Federal MHC.
