The Plastic Products segment engages in the manufacture, assembly, and distribution of plastic component parts; and manufacture of plastic technical and industrial goods and equipment. The Hotels and Resorts segment operates hotels and resorts. The Plantation segment is involved in the cultivation of oil palm. The Healthcare segment engages in the medical center and day care, nursing college, and integrated lifestyle retail pharmacy businesses. The Investment Properties and Trading of Building Material Products segment is involved in property development; manufacture of wire netting, wire mesh, barbed wire, weld mesh, nails, and building materials; distribution of cement; and manufacturing and dealing of concrete products. It also engages in manufacture and sale of molds for plastic parts and plastic molded parts for electrical, electronics, and automotive industries; provision of advertising, marketing, and central reservation services; management consultancy services; and manufacture and sale of polypropylene compounds. In addition, the company is involved in granting of loans; manufacture and distribution of plastic articles and products; manufacture and repair of molds, jigs, and fixtures; designing, research and development, manufacturing, and sale of plastic and automotive interior parts; and design, manufacture, and sale of prototype plastic models. It operates in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Mauritius, Thailand, and the People's Republic of China. Oriental Holdings Berhad was incorporated in 1963 and is headquartered in Penang, Malaysia.
