Analysis
James Cropper PLC (CRPR) currently trades at £3.95, while our model-based Fair Value estimate is £5.17, implying the stock looks roughly 30.9% undervalued today. The Quality Score stands at 67/100 (solid quality), in the Basic Materials sector. Bull case: trading below our estimate, it may offer upside if the fundamentals hold. Bear case: a low price can be a value trap when quality is weak or the data is thin (evidence: high), always confirm before acting.
Over the trailing twelve months, James Cropper PLC generated revenue of £101M at a net margin of -2.7%. Revenue grew 3.7% year over year. It earns a return on equity of -11.1%. Net debt stands at £8.1M. Fundamentals as of Jul 18, 2026
Our scenario range runs from £3.88 (bear case) to £6.46 (bull case); at £3.95, the current price sits within that range. Bear and bull are the same models run on conservative and optimistic assumptions (margins, growth, valuation multiples), so a plausible valuation range, not a price target. For context, the median of 10 Basic Materials peers we cover trades at 10% fair-value upside, at 31%, CRPR screens cheaper than that median.
Fair Value models
Each model estimates fair value its own way; the Fair Value above is the evidence-weighted blend. Evidence (0–100) measures how completely this model’s inputs are available: well-fed models carry more weight in the blend. The spread across models is intentional, each one stresses a different value driver; dividend models, for instance, come out structurally low when payout is small.
All 24 models by family
Widest divergence: Growth DCF (£5.53) versus Dividend Discount (£0.6300). Highest evidence: Growth DCF (80).
